Fireshift / Alternatives / vs Trackingplan
Fireshift vs Trackingplan
Trackingplan installs a tag, snippet or SDK and watches the analytics and ad requests your real users send: anomalies, broken or missing pixels, schema changes, consent and PII issues, with alerts in Slack, Teams or email. Plans are €89, €699 and from €2,000 a month by sessions. Fireshift needs no install: it reads your public tag setup and judges whether each Google Ads conversion is real funnel progress, for you and your competitors. Pick Trackingplan for continuous real-user monitoring; pick Fireshift to find out what Google bids on, today, without touching the site.

Where Trackingplan is better
- Real traffic. It sees every session, so it catches a success event that stops firing after a form submit. We can't.
- Server-side and apps. With the SDK or hooks it covers mobile apps and server events, which are invisible from outside.
- Anomalies. Volume drops against hour-of-day and day-of-week baselines. We compare setup, not volume.
- PII and consent per hit. It inspects real payloads.
Where Fireshift is better
- No install. No snippet to approve, no engineering ticket, no consent review of a new vendor. It works on a prospect's site as well as your own.
- Conversion quality. A monitor tells you a conversion changed. We tell you a conversion that fires on a click or a login shouldn't be a conversion at all. 45.3% of 225 B2B SaaS Ads sites fire one on a click (4 Nov 2026).
- Competitors, from their public containers.
- Price for a one-off answer. A free scan and a $149 teardown, no monthly plan.
Can you use both?
Yes, and it's a sensible pair: Fireshift to get the conversion setup right and see competitors, Trackingplan to watch real traffic once it is right.
FAQ
Does Fireshift need a snippet like Trackingplan?
No. Everything comes from files and requests your site already sends to every browser.
Which one alerts faster when tracking breaks?
Trackingplan, for breaks that only show in real traffic. Fireshift's Watch alerts within a day when the setup changes: a label removed, a trigger changed, a junk conversion added.
Is Trackingplan's agency program like yours?
Both pay up to 30%. Trackingplan's is a share of its client billing; ours is 30% of resold Fix Sprints and monitoring.
