Fireshift / Free scan
What does your site tell Google Ads?
Type your domain. In a few seconds you see every Google Ads conversion and GA4 key event your public tags send, and which ones are noise: page views, logins, clicks, duplicates.
Or paste your GTM-, G- or AW- ID. To find it: open your homepage, View Source (Ctrl+U, or ⌥⌘U on a Mac) and search for "GTM-".
Free. Runs in your browser. Public tags only, no login to your ad accounts. Nothing is stored unless you ask for the report by email. Privacy.
→ reads the GTM and Google tag IDs on your homepage
→ loads each container from googletagmanager.com
→ checks every Ads conversion trigger and GA4 key event
= Leak Score out of 100, worst finding first
What the scan checks.
- −30A Google Ads conversion on All Pages. Why it hurts
- −25GA4 page_view, scroll or session_start marked as a key event. Key events vs conversions
- −20A conversion on login or when a trial ends. What to count instead
- −10A conversion on a button or link click. Which clicks are fine
- −10The same action counted twice. Find duplicates
- −8More than 8 Ads conversions, or none with a value. Primary vs secondary
- −7Two or more GA4 properties. Audit your GTM
- −6A conversion on a plain page view that isn't a thank-you page.
how it works
Your GTM container is public: every visitor's browser downloads it. The scan finds its ID on your homepage, loads it from googletagmanager.com, and reads each Google Ads conversion tag and the trigger it fires on. The scoring runs in your browser. It is the same check we ran on 449 B2B SaaS sites.
What it can't see: whether a conversion is primary or secondary in your Google Ads account (only primaries drive bidding), tags sent only from your server, and tags that load only on other pages or after the cookie banner. The sample report shows what a full scan adds: a real browser visit, consent checks and competitors.
