Fireshift / Help / Reading your Leak Score
How the Leak Score is calculated
The Leak Score starts at 100. Each type of finding takes off a fixed number of points, once, however many conversions it affects: a conversion on every page load −30, a GA4 page-view key event −25, login or trial end −20 each, click or duplicates −10, too many conversions or no values −8, two GA4 properties −7, page view of a non-success URL −6. The floor is 0. Grades: A 90+, B 75+, C 60+, D 40+, F below 40.
The points
| Finding | Points | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Ads conversion on every page load (container or live visit) | −30 | page views |
| GA4 key event is page_view, session_start, first_visit, user_engagement or scroll | −25 | page views |
| Conversion on login | −20 | logins |
| Conversion on trial end | −20 | logins |
| Conversion on a non-contact click | −10 | clicks |
| Duplicates | −10 | duplicates |
| More than 8 Ads conversion labels | −8 | primary vs secondary |
| No Ads conversion sends a value | −8 | values |
| 2+ GA4 properties | −7 | GA4 |
| Page view of a non-success URL | −6 | page views |
Why these weights
The weight follows how hard the finding pulls bidding the wrong way if the action is primary. A conversion every visitor triggers (−30) can take over the bidding goal. A click (−10) inflates it. A page view of an odd URL (−6) may be a real step with an unusual name, so it weighs little and we show the URL.
What's typical
In our 4 Nov 2026 study, the median score among 235 B2B SaaS sites with Google Ads conversions was 76 (a B). The sample report scored 12.
What the score is not
- Not a measure of wasted spend. It can't be: primary vs secondary isn't visible from outside.
- Not a count. Ten click conversions cost the same 10 points as one; the report lists all of them.
- No score at all when we find no public container. See no container found.
FAQ
Can a clean site score 100?
Yes, if no rule fires. It still says to check primary vs secondary.
Will my score change if I make a conversion secondary?
No. The score reads the site, and that setting is in Google Ads. Removing or retriggering the tag changes it.
